The Spanish Armada

Dating back to the late 1970's I have had an interest in gaming naval actions in the period of the Spanish Armada. Since that time I have slowly collected ship models of the period. These were the Valiant Enterprises' Spanish Main 1/1200 scale models. Leap forward nearly 40 years and 3D printing has come along to give the project new life.

Above are examples of the Valiant Enterprises' models.

So, the majority of my ships are 3D prints. Now, I will tell you that these 3D prints are not exactly period models. They are from 50 to 100 years earlier. However, at the scale I'm using, I think they work just fine.

So, without further ado, here is the Armada:

Well, there it is, about 120+ ships. I hope you like it

Happy gaming!

That is a heck of a lot of ships! Definitely merits the term armada.

Formidable—both the English and French pronunciations and meanings fit! Loved the way you lead us in with the photos too. Here's a lovely ship, here's another and another, a fourth... then there are 'fousands of 'em. What a fabulous sight they make.
    Best wishes, James
