What I've Been Working On - Part Two

 Hi All,

Here's another hodge-podge of stuff I have been working on. And we'll start with airplanes again.

First up is the Sopwith Tabloid, a great early war fighter.

Next, is the Airco DH-5. A not so great fighter, but different in that the top wing was staggered back

Here is the USS Iowa, a beautiful American Predreadnought Battleship.

Here's another fine example of an American Predreadnought Battleship, the USS Indiana.

This is the cruiser, USS New Orleans.

And our last US entry is the USS Newark.

From the UK, we have HMS Majestic. She is sporting the newly designed masts, specifically

made for predreadnoughts.

This is HMS Formidable. Sorry about the crooked mast. I can do better.

Here is the HMS Centurion. A 10" gunned battleship (and a favorite of 4P Press).

And just so you don't think I only do big capital ships, here is a spiffy little cruiser, HMS Comus. All of the above models are or will be available at Wargame Vault - 4P Press and Models.

Now, back to American Football! Way back, to the 1930's. This is the uniform of the Frankfort Yellow Jackets. Sadly, they are no longer part of the NFL. I sculpted this (and the following 1930's players) on top of existing electric football figures. I then made a mold of said figures. I am hoping I got some casting resin for Christmas, as the figures shown are cast in lead and a bit heavy for the game.

This is a Duluth Eskimo. The name would not fly today, as found out by Edmonton in the Canadian league and Washington in the NFL.

This is an Oorang Indian. The Indians were an all Native American team, with Jim Thorpe as one of their stars.

This is a Rochester Jefferson. He is wearing the uniform from the second half of the 1920's.

This is the uniform of the Kansas City Cowboys. The team was around for only a couple of years in the mid 1920's.

This is the uniform of the Providence Steam Roller, probably my favorite name for a football team. I can't believe no one has picked it up since the 1930's.

Finally, not an ancient NFL team. These are the Arlanda Jets, the 8th team for my Womens American Football Conference. They hail from Sweden.

I hope that you have enjoyed these photos. Until next time,

Happy Gaming.
